We had everything we needed here for a weekend of catch ups with family. Kitchen fully kitted out which was great given pubs/restaurants not open just yet. Short walk into the town, great base to do day trips from. Salthill is the seaside area of Galway City and is within easy walking distance of Galway City.

Kitchen fully kitted out which was great given pubs/restaurants... Our host was easily contacted, questions answered quickly and pleasantly. St. Nicholas Collegiate Church is 7.7 km from the holiday home, while Galway Greyhound Stadium is 7.9 km from the property.

The property is 2.1 km from Dead Mans Beach and 2.5 km from Grattan Beach. Galway has some beautiful links courses located on the Wild Atlantic Way. We recommend the Connemara Championship Golf Links and Galway Bay Golf Resort. There are many leisure centres in Galway that are open to the public and offer a pay as you go basis. These include Leisureland in Salthill and the Clifden Station House Hotel. The Point Pony Trekking and Horse Riding Centre in Ballyconneely offers a range of treks for all levels.
Grattan House Holiday Homes are family owned, self-catering accommodations. Walking distance to local grocery store and close to Wild Atlantic seafront. With the proprietor living nearby, we are open for bookings year-round. All of our holiday apartments are Irish Tourist Board Registered 4 Star accommodations with a private lock up car park. The house is only a few minutes drive from both Galway city centre and Salthill, with good bus links for both. With Most the bars restricted due to Covid 19 we spent a lot of nights in the house socialising, but the bars and restaurants in the towns are excellent.

Cliff and Mary are thoughtful hosts,they made sure we had fresh milk for a much needed cuppa after a very long drive. I will definitely book this apartment for my next visit to Salthill. Holiday Homes in Westport Flexible on where to stay? Look up holiday homes in nearby Westport, not too far from Galway. Really enjoyed my stay, the room was very clean. We ate breakfast and dinner in the Hyde restaurant and both were fabulous.
